The Eke-Out Project
The Eke-Out Project is the staff resource of the Edinburgh Network for Children, Young People and Families, the voluntary sector forum which the Project created, develops and supports.
If your organisation is already a member of the Network, you might want to visit the members’ area of the site where you can read about strategic partnership groups, consultations and Network news.
There is a site index to help you find your way around, and a page explaining how to use the site. There is also a page with information for site users with particular access needs.

Letter to Councillors
Edinburgh Voluntary Organisations’ Council (EVOC), Volunteer Centre Edinburgh (VCE), and Lothian Association of Youth Clubs (LAYC) have together written to city councillors
Edinburgh Voluntary Organisations’ Council (EVOC), Volunteer Centre Edinburgh (VCE), and Lothian Association of Youth Clubs (LAYC) have together written to city councillors to highlight the third sector’s positive impact in Edinburgh, in developing resilient communities and providing direct services. The letter, sent on 26 January, points out that “protecting social value and high quality services is vital to maintaining the quality of life for Edinburgh’s citizens” and calls on councillors to consider this when making difficult decisions about the budget.
Sport and Physical Recreation Strategy
The Sport and Physical Recreation Strategy is the strategic framework for the development of sport and physical activity in Edinburgh by the Council and its partners. The strategy was launched in November 2004 and the Council and partners are keen to assess the impact its delivery has made for equality groups across the City. Young people (under 18) are invited to contribute their views in an online questionnaire by Friday 5 February 2010.
