Advanced search form

The advanced search facility is designed to help users to search the web version of the Eke-Out database in ways that the simple search interfaces do not. The advanced search provides the opportunity for users to weight their selection criteria to ensure that the search list that is returned prioritises the services in the order of importance chosen by the user. The advanced search allows users to select as many options as they wish. However, users will experience the best search results from this advanced interface by trying to narrow rather than expand their choice of search criteria options.

Age Range

The age range search option allows the user to customise their search criteria to take into acount the age range served by the services.

Service Focus

There are over 350 service focus options to choose from. To help you find the most suitable service focus options for your search, we have divided the service focus options up into six categories: Health, Ethnic Origin, Religion / Culture, Social Care, Miscellaneous and Service Delivery Model. This search option will be most useful in finding services that deal with a specific issue or theme that may not have been covered in the categories in the Search Services by Service Focus simple search option.

Geographical

Users wishing to increase their search parameters by including a geographical focus should note that either Neighbourhood or Council Ward can be selected as a search criteria but not both.

Age Range (12 options)

Health (46 options)

Ethnic Origin (16 options)

Religion/Culture (7 options)

Social (95 options)

Miscellaneous (112 options)

Delivery model (121 options)

Neighbourhood (81 options)

OR

Council Ward (59 options)

Weightings

(Enter a number greater than 1 if you wish a particular search field to have more importance. For example, if the age range served by a service is what matters the most, you might give it a 5, making it 5 times as important as anything else you searched on. Note that any weighting applies equally to all options within a category — that is, there no way of scoring age 0–3 at 6 and 4–5 at 3, for example.

If you do not provide any weightings then each will be scored the same.
