The Network

The Edinburgh Network of Voluntary Organisations for Children, Young People and Families was created by bringing together the voluntary organisations recruited to join the database profiling exercise by the Eke-Out Project along with the membership of three pre-existing voluntary sector fora (ECHO, VOICE and the Coalition of Youth Projects). The Network is accordingly a shining example of working together in practice.

The size and composition of the Network is constantly changing as new organisations are established or discovered or existing members close or shift their focus from work with children, young people and families. There are currently over 260 organisations in the Network providing over 800 services between them. There is definitely strength in numbers! The Network is now the recognised channel for voluntary sector participation in partnership working for children and young people’s services in Edinburgh.

The Network is supported in its work by the Eke-Out Project and managed by an Executive Committee of members elected at the Network’s Annual General Meeting.

Members of the Network enjoy the following benefits:

If you are already a member of the network, click the link to the members’ area of the site.

Joining the Network is easy! One of the Eke-Out Project Network Development Officers will visit your organisation by appointment to meet you and collect some information about the services your organisation provides. After that, your information will be added to the Eke-Out database and you will be linked into all the benefits of membership.
